Cardiff Bay’s state-of-the-art entertainment complex, The Red Dragon Centre, has been recognised at this years’ Welsh Hospitality Awards which celebrates the hospitality industry across Wales.
Home to the only digital IMAX screen in South Wales, as well as Hollywood Bowl and a wide selection of eateries, the all-weather family friendly venue impressed judges and the public voters and was crowned ‘best entertaining team’.
The awards took place at Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel in Cardiff on November 28 and commended the talented individuals and businesses dedicated in delivering constant professionalism, effort and enthusiasm to ensure impeccable service to their customers.
Emma Constantinou, marketing manager for Red Dragon Centre, said: “It is a real pleasure to win the award for ‘best entertaining team’. The Red Dragon Centre really does have something for everyone at any time of the day no matter what the weather. There’s Hollywood Bowl, Cadwaladers’ famous ice-creams, the Odeon, Grosvenor Casino and much more. We’re delighted to be recognised in these awards – particularly the entertainment category – and look forward to defending our title next year.
“Congratulations to all the winners.”
Irfan Younis of event organisers Creative Oceanic commented, “This is the first time this ceremony has taken place and it is a testament to the depth of talent in this industry, that so many people joined us this evening. The awards were well received and we hope to see this event grow year on year. Congratulations to all the finalists and the winners.”
In addition, the awards supported the Make a Wish Foundation UK to fundraise for a worthwhile cause, with over £1000 raised on the night.
