Leading commercial law firm Darwin Gray has been instrumental in setting up and establishing the first all-Wales weekly lottery, Loteri Cymru, which will be broadcast on S4C for the first time on Friday at 8pm (April 28th).
Welsh Triathlon is proud to announce the launch of the first National Triathlon Performance Centre of Wales (NTPCW). The Performance Centre is a collaborative project between Cardiff Metropolitan University, Cardiff University and Welsh Triathlon, with support from Sport Wales.
Rock & Raise 17 is being staged on Saturday, July 1, and tickets have just gone on sale. The night will feature five live acts, including popular South Wales band The Woods, singer songwriter Chris Kelly & 60’s covers band The Word with more acts to be announced in the coming weeks.
The award-winning novel, ‘You’re a Bad Man, Mr Gum!”, is celebrating its tenth year of publication, and author, Andy Stanton, is attending the Cardiff Children’s Lit Fest on the 25th March to celebrate.
Dr Sarah Beynon has scoured the world on the hunt for information on insects, and in her endeavours she’s wandered through the Amazon rainforest, and been chased up a tree by a hippo in Zambia. Her latest adventures include establishing her own insect research and education facility known as the Bug Farm, and most recently she’s befriended beetle novelist M.G. Leonard.
From growing up with an intense fear of all things creepy and crawly, M.J. Leonard has gone on to write a much loved and rejoiced book about beetles. Beetles have taken over her life and infested her home, filling it with beetle ‘knickery-knackeries’, and even a beetle teapot.
